Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as Lantern Festival. This festival has been celebrated for more than thousands of years ago by the Chinese for moon worship. The festival is celebrated on the fifteen day of the eight calendar month of the Chinese calendar which is approximately at the end of September or early of October of the year. This is the time when the moon is at the brightest and roundest.
Family and friends would gather in the night under the moonlight to celebrate together mid-autumn festival. During Mid-Autumn Festival, the traditional festive food is mooncake.
